This is not chocolate bark. It’s fresh donor stool that has been rolled out into a thin, even layer and frozen. This format makes it easy to score and break off into usable pieces. Since it’s not further processed into capsules or nuggets, it’s the most cost-effective way to obtain high-quality donor material by the ounce.
- Feeding directly. You can give a small piece of the bark directly by mouth, ideally disguised in a small amount of food. A piece is typically appropriate for a 40–60 lb dog. Avoid giving it with a full meal—too much food can dilute or damage the microbiota through digestive acids.
- Using as a mix-in. If you’re using your own donor stool and want to add diversity and quality, you can mix in a small piece of our bark. Simply blend your donor material into a slurry and add one or two pieces of our proven donor microbiome to enrich the transplant. This is ideal for rectal fecal implants.
- Storage and handling. The bark must remain frozen until use. Break off only what you need and keep the remainder tightly sealed and frozen.
Each bag contains 90g.
These are best to be given on an empty stomach, or with minimal food, so that it breaks down in the stomach.
This product is shipped frozen, and must be transferred to the freezer upon receipt.
*Inform your client to bring a cooler with ice to ensure the product does not thaw on the drive home.
