We take fresh donor stool, add a small amount of sterile saline, and remove any large or chunky material that could interfere with a catheter infusion. You're receiving a fresh, full-spectrum microbiome sample that’s frozen within 24 hours of collection. The only additive is saline to create a liquid suspension.
This product is shipped to you frozen on dry ice. Once received, keep it frozen until you're ready to use it.
Instructions:
- Plan ahead. You can either use one vial per cat or coordinate to treat multiple cats from one larger bottle. Do not refreeze any unused sample. It's best to schedule all fecal transplants for the same day.
- Calculate dosage. Determine how much of the solution you will need for each patient before thawing.
- Thaw properly. Place the cryo-freezer bottle in room-temperature water until fully thawed. Do not microwave or expose to direct heat.
- Prepare the terrain. Ensure all pre-treatment support protocols are followed. Administer rectal ozone insufflation prior to transplant—ozone helps break down biofilm in the colon, improving engraftment of the new microbiota.
- Timing is important. The cat should ideally have a bowel movement before the procedure (preferably before ozone), and definitely after ozone, to clear the colon.
- Post-procedure care. Follow our recommended protocols closely for the best results. It's important that the cat does not defecate overnight after the procedure. The longer the transplant remains in the colon, the better the chances for full microbial integration.
This product is shipped frozen, and must be transferred to the freezer upon receipt.
